Helping Veterans Get Vaccinated

February 9, 2021 | Blog

Recent reports have exposed that VA facilities have actually turned away veterans who sought to receive the COVID-19 vaccine—that is unacceptable. Ensuring all veterans receive a vaccine is the bare minimum that the VA can do, and they chose to not even do that.

That’s why I’m fighting to get the Department of Veteran Affairs to immediately remedy this issue by removing arbitrary restrictions to ensure all veterans who are eligible to receive vaccines in their states are able to do so at the VA.

While I continue working on this issue, you can get more information about vaccine availability in Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach Counties here.  Information specific to veterans regarding availability through the VA is available here.
