Our national debt is over $28 trillion. My four children, ages 2 to 12, each owe over $86,000. Every dollar that we spend now is one that they will have to pay back in the future.
Democrats in Congress don’t care. Enacting their partisan wishlist is more important to them than the debt they’re saddling our children with. That was evident this week when they rammed through a budget resolution with a $3.5 trillion price tag.
Included in their budget was amnesty for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, doubling the size of the IRS and an expansion of Obamacare.
In the words of President Biden, “show me your budget and I’ll tell you what you care about.” This budget says that they care about expanding the size of the federal government and infringing on your personal freedoms. They do not care about spending money that isn’t theirs or the fact that it’s our kids who will be picking up the tab.
I’ll continue to fight against these types of reckless proposals because my kids, and yours, deserve better.
