Week in Review: June 3 – 9 | The Biggest Deal in Two Decades

For decades, the sugar industry, along with complacent partners in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the state legislature, have successfully turned our communities into Florida’s septic tank  Now, as summer approaches, the Treasure Coast is staring down the loaded barrel of yet another lost summer.

That’s the bad news.  Here’s the good news: 

In an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote this week, the House passed the Water Resources Development Act of 2022, and with it, approved seven pieces of legislation that I wrote to eliminate harmful discharges into our water, send more water south and stop pollution.
