Unfortunately, this week in Washington was more of the same.
We got the latest inflation report and it’s still sky-high at 7.1 percent. But rather than address one of the driving factors of inflation – federal spending – Speaker Pelosi and her allies gave themselves a deadline extension so that they can pass another out-of-control spending bill.
Congress is trusted with the power of the purse. We owe it to those we represent to debate every dollar spent, we can’t just continue to rubber stamp these liberal tax-and-spending sprees.
