While the world mourned the 1,400 lives robbed from Israel by Hamas terrorists, cheers rang loudly across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. As our ally Israel mourned, Palestinians celebrated their tragedy.
While the White House continues to claim that not all Palestinians are Hamas, it omits the critical facts on the ground: Hamas does represent Palestinians. In fact, in the last election, Hamas won 74 of 132 seats, and remains popular among the Palestinians living in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip even after 17 years.
This makes the announcement by President Biden to send $100 million of our tax money to the Palestinian-controlled areas all the more upsetting and counter-intuitive.
That is why I introduced a bill to prohibit any funds from being sent to the Palestinian-controlled West Bank or Gaza. Your money belongs to you, and certainly not to the terrorists who are firing thousands of rockets to indiscriminately murder Israelis.
