The left will tell you that Republicans slashed benefits for America’s veterans—that’s incomprehensible. The One Big Beautiful Bill does the exact opposite, protecting benefits and supporting our veterans in every stage of life.
Veterans have unfortunately fallen victim to the federal government’s reckless spending and the often-excruciating bureaucratic processes. This bill fixes that. America’s veterans are small business owners, taxpayers, and homeowners. There are 780,000 self employed veterans, another 37,500 are in tipped professions, and 1.4 million of them receive overtime pay each year.
On top of that, the One Big Beautiful Bill also exempts 100 percent disabled veterans from Medicaid and SNAP work requirements for those who rely on those programs and preserves all of their core benefits. This is simply not a partisan issue—it is about supporting every American who served our country by honoring and protecting their promised benefits. As an Army veteran myself, I will always fight for the well-being of my brothers- and sisters-in-arms.
