ICYMI: The truth about the One Big Beautiful Bill

August 29, 2025 | Blog

You may have come across confusing or misleading headlines lately about the One Big Beautiful Bill. You can read my op-ed in Florida’s Voice directly addressing some of the misinformation going around.

Let’s talk about some of it:

No, this bill does not cut Medicare or Medicaid; it strengthens both:

Medicare gets a 2.5 percent payment boost for physicians, which is especially critical for rural and senior communities.

Medicaid protections remain strong for pregnant women, children, and disabled people.

No, there’s zero middle-class tax hike; middle-class families benefit from recurring tax cuts:

Middle-class families will benefit from no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and historic relief on Social Security.

I break it down even further in the op-ed. Read it, if you haven’t already, to see how the One Big Beautiful Bill will empower Americans, not hold them back.
