Mast Moves To Rename Port St. Lucie Post Office After Fallen Florida Highway Patrolman

May 16, 2024 | Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21) introduced legislation to rename a United States Post Office building in honor of fallen Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Zachary Fink.

“Trooper Fink dedicated his life to making our community a safer place. His tragic death left us all with a heavy heart,” said Congressman Mast. “Trooper Fink’s bravery and selflessness should inspire us all. He is a hero and should never be forgotten.”

A son of St. Lucie County, Trooper Fink graduated from the Florida Highway Patrol academy in December 2020. Trooper Fink’s life was tragically cut short in February amid a high-speed chase with a fleeing felon. He is survived by his mother, father, and fiance.

Congressman Mast’s bill would rename the U.S. Post Office building at 290 NW Peacock Boulevard in Port St. Lucie after Trooper Fink.
