If there’s one fight that I’m engaged in 24-7, 365 days a year, it’s the fight for clean water.  This year was no exception.

From pushing federal agencies to finally implement the Lake Okeechobee System Operating Manual, to ensuring personnel with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have official documentation of their exposure to harmful algal blooms, there was plenty to do to protect our community from toxic water.

Now, we’re heading into the new year, and Congress will be working on the 2024 Water Resources Development Act.  This bill is considered every two years, and is always our best chance to make major progress in this fight.  As always, I’ll keep you updated every step of the way, so stay tuned!
