Around the world, men, women and children are still suffering from preventable diseases such as malaria, AIDS and tuberculosis. Though we have made great strides to protect Americans from these diseases, the lack of treatment abroad still poses a threat to travellers to and from these countries.

Recently, the House passed legislation that would make Floridians safer and help our neighbors around the world. These two bills would expand research and find new treatments for these preventable diseases!

Keeping Americans safe should be Congress’s top priority, and these bills take important steps to ensure Americans are safe here at home and when they travel abroad.
