During the Biden Administration, federal agencies seemed to operate with one goal: make everything more expensive and hope no one notices. Democrats piled on over $2 trillion in new regulations that  hurt small businesses. Here’s what those regulations cost you and  our communities’ small businesses:

• $16,016 per household in hidden regulatory taxes

• $14,700 per employee in regulatory costs for small businesses

• A total hit of $3 trillion to our national economy

House Republicans are laser focused on reversing course. 

This week, we advanced legislation targeting the bloated regulatory state that drives up prices:

- The DUMP Red Tape Act - This bill creates a hotline where small business owners can report burdensome, pointless, or duplicative regulations directly to the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy.

- The Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act - This bill says federal agencies cannot issue any regulation that raises costs for small businesses. That means lower costs, more jobs, and more room for our small businesses to grow.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. This is why I continue to support House Republicans’ affordability agenda, which also includes repealing 23 Biden-era regulations and expanding Working Families Tax Cuts.
