I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: we will not tolerate oil drilling near our Florida coastlines. Drilling off the coast of Florida puts our economy, environment and marine life at risk, which is simply unacceptable for our communities.

The good news is that this week the House passed two pieces of legislation to prevent drilling off our coastlines and protect our environment!

Specifically, these bills prohibit oil and gas drilling off the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. This is so important because it means that every coastline of Florida is protected from the dangerous risks of offshore drilling that threaten our environment.

As your Representative in Congress, I promise to continue working with members of both parties to ensure Florida’s coasts are preserved for generations to come!
