We accomplished a lot this week on Capitol Hill. From cutting more wasteful government spending to continuing my fight to protect Florida’s Everglades, watch my latest Week in Review to see what happened in Congress.

On Wednesday, the House passed the President’s rescissions package, which will reclaim taxpayer dollars from programs that just no longer serve the American people. I’m especially proud of the work we’ve done on the House Foreign Affairs Committee to uncover funding that’s strayed far from its original purpose. I voted to pass the package because hard working Americans deserve to know that any dollar spent is going to put their interests first. Now the package moves on to the Senate before it can reach President Trump’s desk. Read my statement here

We also hosted “America’s Everglades Summit” right here in the Capitol — marking 25 years since Congress officially committed to restoring Florida’s system of wetlands. Members of Florida’s Congressional delegation, business leaders, and environmental stewards gathered for a week of advocacy and education. It was a powerful reminder that clean water isn’t guaranteed; it’s a right that I’ll keep fighting for to ensure that our water stays in the hands of necessary restoration efforts. Every step forward is a win for our environment, our economy, and our communities. Watch my remarks here.

Thank you, as always, for the honor of serving you. For more on this week’s work, watch the full recap:
