Bipartisan Bill Will Conserve Land, Protect Wildlife on Jupiter Island

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) today released the following photo of the Jupiter Island Land Transfer Act being signed by Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (WI-1) and sent to the President to become law:

   Reps. Brian Mast (FL-18), Don Young (AK-At Large), Frank LoBiondo (NJ-2), Paul Ryan (WI-1) and Bill Shuster (PA-9) meet for the signing of the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018, which includes the Jupiter Island Land Transfer Act, on November 30, 2018 in the United States Capitol Building.

“Ensuring that we are good stewards of our environment begins with strong conservation efforts, and on the Treasure Coast, protecting our environment is also critical to our businesses and livelihoods,” Rep. Mast said. “This is land that the Coast Guard no longer needs and the Department of the Interior is willing to include in the wildlife refuge, making this bill a win-win for all involved.”
