In the coming weeks, the Army Corps will announce a new plan for managing Lake Okeechobee that will be in place for years to come. This decision will affect communities across Florida, and it is our best chance to get the Army Corps to stop sending toxic discharges to Florida’s east and west coasts.

That’s why I’ve teamed up with leaders from west, east and south of Lake Okeechobee, including Congressman Byron Donalds, to advocate for the Army Corps to pick a plan that sends more water south to the Everglades during the dry season and eliminates harmful regulatory releases to the St. Lucie River, the Caloosahatchee River, and the Lake Worth Lagoon.
