Dividing People Doesn't Equal Inclusion
On the battlefields, there is only one focus: win the war.
That was the mission my brothers and sisters in arms and I shared, no matter the gender, creed or background of our team members. Under fifty stars and thirteen stripes, those differences meant nothing to us. We were Americans putting our lives on the line to protect our families and our country.
However, in the last two years, we have seen the military’s focus shift from winning literal wars to winning cultural wars.
In light of Biden’s failed withdrawal from Afghanistan and rising threats from China and Russia, we cannot afford to let divisions destroy our country.
That is why I co-sponsored the Restoring Military Focus Act, which would put an end to woke nonsense by eliminating funding for the chief diversity officer or any similar position like within the Department of Defense.
Dividing people by race, gender and religion and calling it “inclusion” doesn’t add up.
At the end of the day, wearing the uniform unites every soldier, sailor, Airman and Marine. We do not need the woke ideology to tell us otherwise.
