Every year I hear the same lies being told by the left, claiming Republicans want to cut Social Security. It’s simply not the truth. Never once have we tried to cut Social Security and now with the One Big Beautiful Bill, President Trump and Republicans have delivered historic relief by slashing taxes on Social Security. 

It’s no secret that America’s seniors have been crushed under the weight of the federal government’s reckless spending and inflationary policies. Many who lived on fixed incomes after working hard for decades  were still forced to pay taxes on their Social Security benefits. But now nearly 90 percent of seniors will now see zero taxation on their benefits, and that means more money stays exactly where it belongs—in the pockets of those who earned it. 

The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers $63 billion in tax relief for seniors, a permanent cut to taxation on Social Security benefits for millions of America’s seniors. I will always fight to preserve and strengthen Social Security, not cut it.
