As the federal government shutdown continues, I want to be very clear about what’s happening in Washington: Democrats are using federal workers and their families, servicemembers, and those who rely on critical benefits as pawns in a political game.
For those of you who have called the Treasure Coast “home” for many years, you know that the state of our waterways hasn’t always met a high standard of quality.
This morning, I joined Speaker Mike Johnson’s daily press conference on the growing impact of this Democrat-led federal shutdown, and I discussed how it’s putting our national security and American interests on the global stage at risk.
Keeping Americans safe on our roads is common sense. All of us who rely on our highways and interstates deserve to know that every vehicle is operated by someone who’s qualified, lawfully licensed, and at the very least, proficient in the English language.
If you’re a young person who is ready to challenge yourself and commit to serving our nation, this is your opportunity. Those accepted into a service academy will receive a world-class education and, upon graduation, will serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.
