Last week was the official “Made in America Week,” and we honored the hardworking men and women who are the backbone of our economy. I’ve always believed that when we invest in American jobs and ideas, our communities thrive.

Right here in Florida, we’re seeing the results of a pro-business Administration. Our state has added nearly 37,000 new manufacturing jobs over recent years, with more than 430,000 Floridians working in manufacturing, contributing over $73 billion to our nation’s economy.

In Washington, I’m working to build on this momentum. I recently wrote an op-ed explaining how President Trump’s tariff policies are bringing manufacturing back to the U.S., creating more jobs and securing Social Security for generations, and voted to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill to boost domestic production. This was a once-in-a-generation piece of legislation that will help our economy thrive.

Here’s what it means for Florida:

  • No tax on auto loan interest for new cars made in the U.S.

  • Full expensing for new factories and existing factory improvements to accelerate manufacturing and keep jobs at home.

  • Full expensing for domestic research and development to ensure that the best ideas are invented and tested here.

  • Full expensing for new capital investments, like machinery to boost productivity.

I’ll continue to fight for policies that put our workers first and ensure that Florida remains a leader in American manufacturing.
