Sanction Hamas Now

Hamas terrorists seem to never run out of rockets.  No one believes that Hamas was able to carry out the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust on their own.  It is clear that there are enablers that are funding and backing these terrorists in their plight to wipe Israel off the map.

Hamas is the biggest threat to our ally, Israel, as its goal is to get rid of the only Jewish homeland on earth.  This terrorist organization also receives unwavering support from Iran - in fact, Hamas received weapons and training from the Islamic Republic before it carried out an attack on Israel.

The United States must stay true to its commitment to freedom and democracy and cannot reward Hamas’ supporters with access to the American economy.

Thankfully, the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed my bipartisan bill, the Hamas International Financing Prevention Act, which would sanction all financial backers of Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or their affiliates.

While this bill may not eliminate all of the tools Hamas used in carrying out the October 7th attacks, it would have taken some tools out of their arsenal.  Most importantly, it will make sure that none of our tax dollars go to fund these terrorists.  I will keep you updated on the status of this legislation.
