Service Academy Fitness Assessment
Our nation has a proud tradition of military service, and attending a service academy is a great way to participate in that tradition and serve your country while also receiving an education at some of the top universities. Every year, I look forward to the privilege of nominating outstanding young people from our community to attend the Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy at Annapolis, the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Points. At any of these institutions, students are trained to become the next leaders for the United States military, and our nation.
If you are a high school student, it’s never too early to start thinking about attending a service academy! CLICK HERE to learn more about the nomination process and watch this year’s Service Academy Summit.
For those who have already applied for this year’s nomination cycle, here’s a quick reminder that the Physical Fitness Assessment will be held on Saturday, December 13. I look forward to seeing all of you there!
This event is also open to high school students in grades 9–11, as well as seniors who are not currently seeking a congressional nomination. It’s a great opportunity to challenge yourself alongside seniors pursuing a service academy appointment and to gain a clearer sense of the physical readiness and determination expected of future cadets and midshipmen.
