September 27 is "National Public Lands Day"
Tomorrow, Saturday, September 27, is National Public Lands Day, and I hope you’ll join me in celebrating America’s natural environment and the parks we work so hard to preserve. The National Park Service will offer free admission to everyone, and across the country, thousands of volunteers are using this day to come together and clean-up our parks. And here in Florida, our state parks are hosting events tomorrow to remove invasive plants and clean up park infrastructure.
I’ve always advocated for strong stewardship of our environment. Earlier this year, I hosted America’s Everglades Summit on Capitol Hill—a chance to bring together community members, scientists, and advocates for important discussions on our Everglades restoration efforts. As I continue to serve in the U.S. Congress, I’ll always value our commitment to conservation and preservation.
