You shouldn't need a lab report to trust what's in your baby’s formula, a tax attorney to keep more of your own paycheck, or a backup plan for the dog when a hurricane is three days out. As a father of four, I know these things can keep us Florida parents up at night—and they're exactly what's driven my work this Congress for families across Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach Counties.

Now, let’s start July last year when we avoided the largest tax hike in history and passed the One Big Beautiful Bill. What did that mean for you?

  • Expanded Child Tax Credit. $2,000 per child, locked in permanently and growing with inflation.

  • Trump Accounts. $1,000 seed deposit for newborns and a tax-advantaged investment for every child under 18. More than 6 million have already been opened.

  • The first-ever federal school choice program—the Education Freedom Tax Credit—so the money follows the child, whether that’s private school, tutoring, or therapies for students with special needs.

For new parents, I introduced the FORMULA Act this summer to set firm, enforceable limits on contaminants in baby formula—heavy metals, PFAS, microplastics, and the same cyanotoxins that come off our algal blooms.

Last—but certainly not least—here in Florida, too many families ride out a storm because there's nowhere for the dog to go. That's why I introduced the PETSAFE Act: it’s so our counties can use emergency funds they already have to shelter and rescue pets, without a single new dollar of taxpayer spending.

Fewer worries, more money in your pocket, and a safer start for our kids. That's the goal, and that’s our fight!
