We are one step closer to no more falling back, no more springing forward, and no more turning the clock twice a year. The House passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent this week, and I know this is something so many of you care about. In 2018, our state legislature was the first in the nation to pass a permanent daylight saving time bill. Since then, 19 states have followed suit.

This legislation is Florida led, through and through, with sponsors from Florida’s federal delegation in both chambers of Congress. Not to mention, the President has also spoke about his support of getting this done.

The vote was 308 to 117. That's a strong bipartisan message: Americans are done with the twice-a-year clock shuffle that disrupts sleep, schedules, and our kids' routines for no good reason.

The bill now heads to the Senate—let’s keep the pressure on to lock the clock forever!
