Our nation has a proud tradition of military service.  From World War II to the War on Terror, and across all branches, patriotic men and women have worn the uniform and served under the 50 stars and 13 red and white stripes.

That’s why the words “happy Veterans Day” mean so much.  It’s a “thank you” for the time away from home, a “thank you” for sacrificing birthdays and anniversaries, and a “thank you” for their willingness to give their last breath for our freedoms.

It’s an honor to represent so many of our nation’s heroes, and on this Veterans Day, I salute each and every single one.
