Made in Florida 21

The days of good-paying American jobs being outsourced abroad are over. Under President Trump, American manufacturing is making a comeback with factory activity hitting its highest level in years. The manufacturing sector has expanded three months in a row, new orders are skyrocketing, and the nation is adding more manufacturing jobs instead of losing them.

By 2032, estimates show the Sunshine State will rank among the country's top three for manufacturing employment opportunities, with the sector providing a job increase of 7.8 percent

The defense industry has a key role in getting us there, and today at the Capitol, I had the opportunity to address the Pratt & Whitney team—a defense company that builds some of the most advanced engines in the world right in our backyard at their Jupiter facility. Pratt & Whitney powers our Armed Forces’ F35 jets with their 5th Generation F135 engine program and is a great example of what American manufacturing can accomplish.

Pratt & Whitney's work on the Treasure Coast means our military has high-tech engines built in America—by American workers. I’ll always fight for more good-paying jobs and thriving American excellence in engineering and innovation.
