This week marks National Infrastructure Week, and it’s a great opportunity to highlight some of our community’s top priorities: clean water, strong infrastructure, and environmental stewardship. As your representative, and a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I’m focused on delivering real results that improve the quality of life for folks in the Treasure Coast and the Palm Beaches.

Infrastructure is about more than just roads and bridges. It’s about making sure our kids get to school safely, our economy stays competitive, and our waterways remain clean. It’s about protecting what makes our district special, while ensuring we leave it better than we found it for future generations.

Our communities know all too well the devastating impact of poor water quality and toxic discharges from Lake Okeechobee. We’ve seen how it hurts businesses, marine life, and public health. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to fight for zero discharges to protect places like the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done to strengthen partnerships across all levels of government. Through holding the Army Corps of Engineers accountable and pushing for investments to empower local leaders, we are delivering for Florida's 21st district.

We are blessed to live in one of the most beautiful and unique ecosystems in the nation. Preserving our home isn’t just an environmental goal, it is an economic imperative and a moral responsibility. National Infrastructure Week is an important reminder, and I won’t stop until we finish the job– when it comes to protecting our communities, nothing less is acceptable.
