Today, thousands gathered in the nation’s capital to send a message to the world: life is worth protecting.

As someone who fought on battlefields to protect lives, I know firsthand how precious a life is.  And I will never forget the moment that I held each of my children in my arms for the first time - the rush of emotion I felt and the promise I made to protect each of them no matter what.

Life is precious.

That’s why it sickens me to the stomach to watch how far the far-left politicians in Washington will go to take away the life of an unborn baby.  Just this past week, only ONE Democrat in the House of Representatives voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would require that medical care be provided to a child who survives  an abortion or attempted abortion.

That is why I also introduced legislation to protect life from woke corporations that are out of touch with the values of millions of Americans.  The No Tax Breaks for Radical Corporate Activism Act will prevent businesses from being able to write off travel expenses for employees who travel out of state for an abortion or gender transition procedures for an employee’s child.

It’s simple, our government should stand for the most fundamental liberty: life.  I will continue to fight for the sanctity of life from the very first heartbeat.
