Mast, Bipartisan Florida Members Call For Permanent Reauthorization of Land and Water Conservation Fund
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) and a bipartisan group of fellow Florida Representatives are urging House Republican and Democratic Leadership to permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).
“Florida’s outdoor experience is the very cornerstone of the economy and quality of life for 20 million residents, supporting a $58 billion outdoor recreational industry and 485,000 direct jobs,” the members write in a letter to Speaker Paul Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. “We write to request you bring up legislation to permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) before it expires on September 30, 2018.”
In addition to Rep. Mast, Representatives Carlos Curbelo (FL-26), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-27), Vern Buchanan (FL-16), Frederica Wilson (FL-24), Alcee Hastings (FL-23), Stephanie Murphy (FL-07), Francis Rooney (FL-19), Brian Mast (FL-18), Darren Soto (FL-09), Al Lawson Jr. (FL-05) and Charlie Crist (FL-13) signed the letter.
