WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) today introduced legislation to hold employers responsible if they force their employees to take the COVID-19 vaccine against their will.  

“The COVID-19 vaccine mandate will make the supply chain issues worse, threaten the livelihoods of millions of families and deprive Americans of their fundamental right to privacy,” Rep. Mast said.  “So, if an employer is hellbent on forcing vaccines into the arms of their employees, they need to take responsibility for the consequences, both in terms of their health and the economic impact of the mandate.  We should be asking why no entity - private or public - has been willing to accept that liability and demand that they do.” 

The Mandating Responsibility Act would require employers to accept liability for adverse impacts stemming from mandating that employees receive the COVID-19 vaccine.  Under the legislation, employees could bring action against employers for a range of issues, from loss of income to negative health side effects, that result from forced inoculation.

To date, hundreds of individuals from 39 states, representing federal agencies, contractors and private employees have contacted the office of Congressman Mast to express concern about their vaccination status impacting their employment and requesting that their employer accept liability.
