As your Representative, I want smart solutions that could help our community.  Unfortunately, we didn’t see a lot of that this week.

First, at the local level, we’ve got another problem with Brightline: the railroad company wants to close off access to both sides of the St. Lucie River for three weeks straight in order to make repairs to the bridge.  That’s an unacceptable plan for businesses that depend on that access.

On the global stage, the Biden Administration announced that it is planning to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine, but that it’s likely going to take months to get them to the front lines.  Instead of sending equipment that’s ready to go, the Administration is going to spend more of your tax dollars to get the tanks ready and train the Ukrainians to operate the complicated machinery.
