Time to Fix the Broken Supply Chain
This week, we had the first committee hearing in the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and we focused on a critical issue: the broken supply chain. For too long, Americans have struggled to get the items they need for their families, and it’s past time that Congress work towards real solutions.
One such solution is a bill that I introduced earlier this year called Ceasing Age Based Trucking Restriction Act (CAB Act) that would cut red tape and get more truckers on the road. Currently, truckers cannot move goods from ports because of age restrictions based on the interstate commerce regulations.
There’s an untapped talent pool that could help get goods to market faster. We should not shy away from getting more truckers on the road and get America moving.
