There is no denying that the crisis at our southern border is hurting Americans. However, Democrats are seeing an opportunity in this crisis.

Blue states like Vermont, Maryland, and California are allowing illegal immigrants to vote in local elections. This is already happening in our nation’s capital. 

In October 2022, the city council of the District of Columbia passed legislation allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections. This means that everyone from an illegal immigrant to a foreign national working at the Chinese embassy can vote for who will be the city’s mayor. 

This is outrageous and it's happening right in the swamp… but not for long! 

That’s why today House Republicans passed legislation prohibiting illegal immigrants from being able to vote in the District of Columbia. This is a no-brainer, but it will also send a powerful message that election integrity must be paramount.
