America's 250th Birthday

On July 4, 2026, our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, and from the National Mall to the Treasure Coast, celebrations are scheduled all summer long. Below is a guide to some of the events happening in Washington, D.C., as well as across Martin, St. Lucie, and northern Palm Beach Counties.

A multi-day countdown outside the National Archives with reenactors, fife-and-drum music, a Salute to Service for the Army and Navy's 250th, and family activities.

July 4

The centerpiece of the Semiquincentennial: a full day of programming on the National Mall, the annual Capitol Fourth concert, and the largest fireworks display in the District's history.
