Today marks day nine of the Democrat shutdown of our federal government, and this morning, I joined Fox and Friends to assess the situation. 

First, let’s make a few things clear:

• On September 19th, House Republicans passed a clean continuing resolution to keep our government open. We have done our job, as have the Senate Republicans who have voted repeatedly to pass the bill and re-open the government.

• The Democrats are not interested in putting Americans first. They’re holding our federal government hostage so that tax payer dollars can fund healthcare for illegal aliens.

Every single day Senate Democrats keep our government closed, service members, federal law enforcement officers, and air traffic control officers go to work without pay. There’s no common ground here, and this shutdown must end.
