16 months ago, the world was rocked by a global pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China.  More than 600,000 Americans have lost their lives to COVID-19, and every single one of us has been impacted.  We deserve to know how the coronavirus came to be and what, if any, role the Chinese government played. 

However, for the past 16 months, the Chinese Communist Party has done everything possible to conceal the truth.  They’ve refused to cooperate with international investigations and engaged in a massive disinformation campaign to cover up what happened at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.  The Chinese won’t give us the answer we need willingly, so we need to force their hand!

That’s why, this week in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I offered an amendment that would require President Biden to declassify the intelligence that has been collected on the origins of COVID-19.  Congress and the American people need to know what happened so that we can take steps to prevent it from ever happening again!
