As you know, the U.S. Coast Guard has been testing a new schedule for the operations of the St. Lucie River railroad bridge, in order to accommodate Brightline’s new passenger rail service to Orlando. I’ve been very clear: boaters must have - at least - equal access to the waterway, and anything less than that is unacceptable.

As part of the test deviation, members of the community can weigh in via the public comment period.

TODAY, October 15, is the last day to submit opinions as part of the current public comment period.

While I suspect that there will be additional test deviations, and therefore, additional public comment periods in the near future, if you have a question, concern, or perspective on the current schedule, you must submit it by MIDNIGHT tonight, Sunday, October 15.
