Every day in Congress, Representatives are working on a host of different issues, and this week was no exception.  However, there’s one issue that’s Priority #1 for the nation: reaching a deal on the debt ceiling.

I believe that we need to address the debt ceiling, but we also need to address the root cause of the problem, and that’s out-of-control federal spending.  When someone maxes out their credit card, that’s usually a sign to take a look at their spending habits.  It’s past time that Washington does the same.
