Congress had one major item on the to-do list this week: fund the government. By passing a continuing resolution, or a CR, we’ve extended funding for crucial programs like Medicaid, but we’ve also reallocated funds to make sure that every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. That means investing in things like a pay increase for junior enlisted troops and investment in air traffic control systems. 

Ensuring the government is funded through the end of the fiscal year — September 30, 2025 — means that we can move onto the next big item on the to-do list: one big beautiful bill that will cut taxes and secure the border.
