Everglades Restoration Is A Bipartisan Priority
As Congress considers a boost in infrastructure funding, I am fighting to ensure water infrastructure to restore the Everglades and stop toxic discharges is included!
Funding for Everglades restoration has increased dramatically over the past several years, including a historic $250 million commitment from the federal government last year. But our fight is far from over.
This week I testified before the House Appropriations Committee urging them to allocate $725 million for Everglades restoration this year. A funding commitment of $725 million would chart a great path forward in our efforts to fix Florida’s waterways by stopping toxic discharges and sending the water south!
Everglades Restoration is a bipartisan priority, so I will keep fighting to get the job done!
