WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) today questioned the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the water management decisions that led to discharges during a Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee Hearing.  He demanded answers on why and for whom excess water is stored on the lake during dry season that then ends up being discharged to the east and west during wet season.  He also pressed the Army Corps to state whether there was any amount of toxic pollution that would cause the Army Corps to cease discharges, which they declined to answer.
