Do you, or a student you know, seek a prestigious education while serving our nation? Consider applying to one of our nation’s esteemed service academies or military colleges. 

Whether it’s the Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy at Annapolis, the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, the Coast Guard Academy in New London, the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, or one of the nation’s premier military colleges, these institutions prepare students to become the next leaders of the United States military. 

For those interested in a service academy, a key step in the application process, with the exception of the Coast Guard Academy, is to obtain a congressional nomination. This nomination process allows applicants to showcase their rigor and character, proving they have what it takes to succeed as cadets and midshipmen. There is no cost to attend a service academy. In fact, academy students will receive a stiped as well as medical and dental coverage during their enrollment. 

To provide detailed information about the application and nomination process, I am hosting a Service Academy and Military College Summit. Representatives from all five service academies and eight of our major military colleges will be present to offer insights and answer any questions about this demanding application process.

Nominating outstanding students to our service academies is one of my highest honors as a Member of Congress. In a time when college tuition is rising and military recruitment numbers are declining, this is an exceptional opportunity for high school students and a critical investment in our nation’s future.
