WASHINGTON, D.C. – In an explosive exchange during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) forcefully questioned Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the Biden Administration's hand in the deaths of thirteen American servicemembers in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Secretary Blinken continually denied the validity of transcripts of a phone call between President Biden and now-exiled Afghan President Ghani.  In the phone call, Biden is said to have urged Ghani to “change the perception” of the situation on the ground - which, if true, amounts to a blatant attempt to manipulate the intelligence that American agencies and the military relied on to make life-and-death decisions.

The actions of the Administration resulted in the death of eleven Marines, one Army soldier and one Navy corpsman on August 26, 2021, a fact that Representative Mast reiterated by reading the names and showing the photos of each of the fallen troops.

Representative Mast then reclaimed the remainder of his time rather than give Secretary Blinken a platform to lie further to the American people.
