Today was a huge win for the U.S. Constitution, business owners and every American who values their privacy. The Supreme Court has smacked down President Biden’s vaccine mandate for private employers!
The Justices found the President’s effort to force employees to take the COVID-19 vaccine unconstitutional, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has to stop all implementation and enforcement of the mandate.
That means if your boss is telling you that you must get the vaccine, that directive does not have the force of law, but it does highlight how much further we have to go in this fight.
There have been too many examples of employees being forced to chooses between the jab or their job, and discrimination against those who do not want to share their private health information with their employers. That’s why I’ll continue to push for the passage of my bill, the Employee Privacy Act. It would prohibit supervisors from asking about an employee’s vaccination status and protect against discrimination.
Today was good news, but there’s still more to be done. I promise that I’ll continue to fight the aggressive government overreach coming from the White House and stand up for the right to privacy. Click here to learn more.
