No Plan, No Funds
Yesterday, I voted to stop $300 million from going to Ukraine.
Here’s the thing: the Biden Administration has failed to lay out any strategic objective for the United States’ involvement in Ukraine. On top of that, it’s virtually impossible to know what the Department of Defense is doing with the $113 billion that’s already been allocated because there’s no real oversight or auditing taking place.
The spending spree has to stop until the Pentagon can brief Congress on exactly how the money will be used and how it will further American interests. Until then, I’m a no. I’m not going to blindly send your tax dollars to a conflict with no clear goal. I’ll keep fighting to make sure your tax dollars aren’t wasted.
