One topic has dominated the news this week: USAID. But as a member – and now Chairman – of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, this department’s wasteful spending is something that I”ve been tracking for years. From expanding atheism in Nepal to an LGBTQ comic book in Peru, there’s no shortage of examples of idiotic grants and programs we can point to. Unfortunately, it seems like these types of initiatives are the rule – not the exception.

It’s not just about the blatant misuse of your hard earned tax dollars, it’s about whether or not these programs actually help the United States expand its influence and good will around the globe.

I dig into all of it, plus an update on efforts to fix the supply chain and stop the flow of fentanyl, in the latest Week in Review.
