With our economy changing and evolving so rapidly, it’s important that we do everything we can to ensure our future generations are prepared for careers in STEM fields.

The good news is that the House recently passed three bills to improve education and research in these fields, including the:

• Building Blocks of STEM Act to provide additional grants for STEM education in grades K-12
• Engineering Biology Research and Development Act to encourage research on new cancer screening tools and medicines
• Sustainable Chemistry Research and Development Act to support the development of cleaner chemicals to protect human and environmental health

These bipartisan bills are a win for our students and will help encourage careers in STEM for our next generation!
