Members of our military take an oath to uphold the Constitution, including the right to religious freedom. And yet, President Joe Biden is undermining the very rights that our service members are defending.

In imposing an unconstitutional vaccine mandate, the Department of Defense is granting shockingly few religious exemptions, potentially infringing on the fundamental religious freedom of the men and women in the military.  For example, within the Navy, over 2,000 religious exemptions to the vaccine mandate have been requested, but not one has been approved.

That’s why several Navy sailors have filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon, and today, I joined other Members of Congress in submitting a letter to the court supporting their lawsuit.  Our nation was founded on religious freedom, and attempts to infringe on that right can’t be tolerated!
