School Choice Empowers Students And Families
Every child is unique, and their education should reflect that. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to learning, which is why school choice is so important.
As a father of four, I understand firsthand the importance of ensuring every child has the resources and opportunities they need to succeed—because success looks different for every student. My wife and I chose to homeschool our kids for several years, allowing us to personalize their curriculum and provide incredible learning experiences, like exploring social studies firsthand by traveling to Washington, D.C. with me. It was absolutely the right choice for our family at that time.
Homeschooling may not be the right choice for every family, but every parent deserves the freedom to make that decision.
In recent years, we’ve seen parents pushed out of their children’s classrooms, while the federal government prioritizes compliance and conformity over critical thinking and innovation. As math scores drop and reading comprehension declines, it’s clear the system is failing our kids—and they deserve better.
My family was blessed to be able to choose what worked best for us, and I will fight to ensure every parent has that same opportunity.
Whether public, private, or homeschooling, families deserve options and should be empowered to help their child thrive.
