Back in September, the House Foreign Affairs Committee released a report on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. The big takeaway was no surprise: China repeatedly lied to the World Health Organization in the process of covering up the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Now, earlier this month, CNN published an investigative report of their own on the many lies told by the Chinese Communist Party. This reporting further confirms what we already knew: the Chinese Communist Party falsified data to hide the extent of the outbreak, and in doing so they kneecapped any proactive response that could have stopped the spread of the virus before it became a pandemic.

China’s total lack of transparency and mishandling of the coronavirus outbreak has cost hundreds of thousands of lives and left untold economic destruction. Together, we must ensure that nothing like this ever happens again!
